EVENTS
Each year, Project Leadership supports students through three major events. Each event incorporates the Scholars, families and mentors into the program, celebrating the collaborative effort of moving our students on the path to and through college.
Red Rubber Ball
The Red Rubber Ball event celebrates our mentoring program. Mentor and Mentee of the Year are announced at this event. We celebrate our program participants, with a special emphasis on recognizing the graduating seniors.
Each mentor is recognized for years of service at the Red Rubber Ball. Students are given an opportunity to share their victories. Stories are shared. Hard work is celebrated. Recognition is given.
The Red Rubber Ball is a time to celebrate the work of the previous year. Approximately 225 people attend each year.
We invite you to join us in celebrating the impact of the mentoring program as a sponsor of the Red Rubber Ball banquet.
Back to School Bash
Project Leadership celebrates the return to school and the annual launch of new mentor matches at the Back to School Bash.
This event launches the new programming year for Project Leadership. The focus is on establishing and deepening relationship.
Jingle Bell Rock
Our annual holiday bash brings a famous holiday movie to life. Our mentees’ families report that this event has become a family tradition.
We celebrate with a meal, a movie-themed activity and a holiday movie screening each year.
