The purpose of Unit 3 is to provide students with the opportunity to synthesize everything they have learned throughout the curriculum into a professional portfolio that reflects their growth, accomplishments, and future aspirations. Throughout this unit, students will organize artifacts created during previous lessons, refine their written reflections, strengthen their communication skills, and develop a polished portfolio that showcases their interests, strengths, career exploration, educational planning, and personal development. Rather than serving as a simple collection of completed assignments, the portfolio becomes a meaningful representation of each student's unique journey and their readiness to begin planning for high school, college, careers, and beyond. By the end of the unit, students will have created and presented a professional portfolio that documents their learning, celebrates their accomplishments, and provides a strong foundation for continued educational and career planning.
