CURRICULUM

HIGH
SCHOOL
Project Leadership's college and career curriculum provides resources and lessons to increase students' readiness for education after high school. The curriculum is used in classroom settings as part of Preparing for College and Career middle school classes and during high school advisory periods.

MIDDLE
SCHOOL
Middle school is a time when students can benefit the most from career exploration. This time period capitalizes on their developing abilities to think abstractly and their preferences for teamwork and active learning through relevant real-life scenarios.
INTERNSHIPS

EXPLORE
The Aeros career experience platform provides three assessments that allow students to learn about their career aptitudes, career cluster interests, and work strengths. Assessment results help guide students to career experiences that match their individual interests.

EXPERIENCE
Aeros provides a listing of opportunities for students to gain workplace experiences and learn about available career pathways locally. Career Coaches then help guide students toward post-secondary education and training that matches identified career interests.
FAFSA

SCHOOL LABS
Project Leadership provides in-school labs to help students create their Federal Student Aid (FSA) IDs and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to qualify for federal and state financial aid assistance.

1-ON-1 CONSULTS
After students complete a FAFSA, career coaches provide individual consultations to help them understand the results and estimate the financial aid that may be available.
READINESS

CAREER COACHING
Project Leadership staff engage students in one-on-one and group settings at the middle and high school level to discuss college and career pathways and provide guidance in preparing for what lies beyond high school graduation.

SENIOR LABS
Seniors participate in school labs to complete college applications. They also are introduced to scholarship opportunities offered by local Community Foundations and receive guidance in completing the application.
ADVOCACY

21 CENTURY SCHOLARS
Project Leadership educates students and families about the state program that can help pay for tuition to Indiana colleges and universities. Each high school Scholar must complete three state-required activities per grade level. Project Leadership conducts labs with students to inform and guide them with completing these activities.

POLICY
Project Leadership works locally and through relationships with state partners to advocate for increased equity in access to education and career pathways beyond high school.
