Measuring Student Learning:

Formative Assessments

  • Observe student participation during class discussion about career interests.

  • Monitor student engagement while completing the Career Interest Inventory.

  • Confer with students as they research career clusters and identify careers of interest.

  • Review student responses during the Career Interest Reflection activity.

 

Summative Assessments

  • Completed What You Want to Be / What You Wanted to Be activity

  • Completed Career Interest Reflection

  • Identification of three career clusters and one career from each cluster

  • Selection of a current top career choice

  • Portfolio submission of completed lesson artifacts

 

Evidence of Learning

Students demonstrate mastery by:

  • Explaining how personal interests relate to career exploration.

  • Identifying three career clusters that align with their interests.

  • Researching careers within those clusters.

  • Reflecting on how career interests develop and change over time.

  • Using career exploration resources to make informed decisions.
