Students explore how personal values, career goals, and workplace skills contribute to their personal brand. Through career reflection and a creative design process, students develop a personal logo and slogan that visually represent who they are, what they value, and the career path they hope to pursue.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this lesson students will:

  • Identify their personal values.

  • Describe what success in their future career looks like.

  • Design a personal logo that represents their skills, values, and career goals.

  • Create a personal slogan that reflects their personal brand.

Before You Begin:

Student Materials

  • Device with internet access

  • "Personal Logo Planning" worksheet

  • "Personal Logo/Slogan" worksheet

  • Pens, pencils, or colored drawing materials

 

Teacher Preparation

  • Print copies of the "Personal Logo Planning" and "Personal Logo/Slogan" worksheets.

  • Prepare the logo recognition activity or presentation.

  • Review students' Career Interest Reflection sheets, if needed.

  • Verify student access to O*NET for career research.

Teacher Tips

Remind students that an effective logo and slogan communicate the qualities that are most important about a person or organization. Encourage students to think carefully about the skills, values, and career goals they want others to recognize, and have them use those ideas to guide their designs.
